Recipes and More!

If you haven’t already heard, you can now order the Gift of Health Christmas gift box from Beyond Organic.  This is a great way to get started with Beyond Organic, or to send a healthy gift to someone you love.

I also wanted to include 2 new recipes to the archives.  This first is from a fellow blogger at goingbeyondorganic.wordpress.com:

Beef and Cabbage Stir-Fry

6 servings

2 Tbsp. Olive oil
1 lb. Beyond Organic (BYO) ground beef
3 BYO hot dogs, cut julienne style, bite-sized
1/2 head cabbage, cut in bite-sized pieces
4 carrots, cut julienne style, bite-sized
1 onion, cut in bite-sized pieces
2 cloves crushed garlic or to preference
“Real Salt” sea salt
Pepper

In large skillet, heat olive oil and add ground beef, stirring and cooking until no longer pink. Add hot dogs, followed by other ingredients. Cover and cook on low heat until veggies are tender-crisp, about 15 minutes. Season to taste and enjoy!

The second is from my own mom’s kitchen:

Quinoa Veggie Curl in Spaghetti Meat Sauce

Brown 1 lb Beyond Organic Green Fed Beef, salt & pepper to taste. Add italian seasoning and garlic salt to taste.
Saute 1 small onion, and 1 lb mushrooms in olive oil.
Mix together with 1 jar organic basil spaghetti sauce & simmer.
Add in 3/4 cup Beyond Organic Cheddar Cheese

Boil 1 box (8 oz) Quinoa Veggie Curls (it’s like curly noodles) 6 minutes (don’t overcook)

Mix all together & put in casserole dish.
Heat @ 350 20 minutes (or until heated thru). Sprinkle favorite cheese on top (I did parmesan & mozzarella) and heat until melted. Let set a few minutes & serve.

Both are great!!  Be sure to send me your recipe ideas.  I’ll be happy to post them for everyone to see.  Send me an email at hdh517sdh at yahoo (dot) com with any questions!  www.eatorganicmeals.com

Hi! Thanks for mentioning my recipe and site here. You might want to change one of my mistakes in my recipe. Funny how you can think you have proofread thoroughly and one little word catches your eye later. I put “cook on low head” instead of “heat” in the instructions. Ha! It would make a difference in the outcome of the meal ;)

I plan to get the ingred. for the veggie curl at Whole Foods soon. Sounds delish!
